Coach Resources

Are you interested in getting involved in your community and spreading the love of soccer in Philadelphia? Coach with Safe-Hub!

*Attendance at coach training is mandatory for all coaching positions

  • Head Coach (Paid): Lead team practices, soccer/instructional experience preferred. Twice weekly commitment required.
  • Coach-Mentor (Paid): Support high school team practice and PlayMaker development sessions and chaperone PlayMaker off-site trips. Commitment is at least three days per week.
  • Flex Coach (Paid): Coaches not assigned to a specific team but are available to fill in where needed. Once to twice weekly commitment.
  • Assistant Coach (Volunteer): Support head coaches during practice. Once to twice weekly commitment.

Safe-Hub’s Collective Impact Program supports a thriving collaborative space for local nonprofits, while ensuring that families are supported holistically, whatever the unique need. In addition to supportive services distributed at daily programming (meal distribution, fresh produce, Narcan trainings, and other partner resources), major events this year include: 

  • March 10 | Women’s Empowerment Cup: Fundraising and Showcase tournament for Safe-Hub’s girls to show their skills and engage with Philly’s women’s soccer community.  
  • March 30 | Scanlon Community Clean Up: Safe-Hub’s 3rd annual community clean-up extended its reach into the neighborhood with a further reach and scope of work alongside a large collective of partners and volunteers. 
  • June 1 | Safe-Hub Field Day: Celebration of the start of summer for community members with summertime resources and opportunities for children and families in the community alongside games and activities. 
  • August 17 | Back-to-School Block Party: Kick-off to the school year with backpacks, school supplies, and family resources to ease the back-to-school financial burdens and set students up for success! 
  • October 26 | Tent-or-Treat: A family-friendly day of activities, candy, haunted house, and more resources to keep our public space active and safe for children from around the neighborhood. 
  • December 14 | End of Year Jawn: A year end community fair with over 20 partners, distribution of warm clothes and toys, and skating and holiday-themed activities for the community.
